Odessa Manufacturing Inc., the only manufacturer of industrial
filters for pollution in control Western Canada, is in need of
Production Industrial sewers to produce filters for use in the
cement industry, foundry, school boards, and wood manufacturing
plants.
Candidates should be able to show experience in the use of
high speed sewing machines with cylinder arms and No.69 threads.
however, if no experience Candidates need to show willingness to be trained for 3 months
with standard compensation.
Other requirements -
Male or female
Must be able to speak and understand English for the
necessary instructions.
Any nationality will be accepted as candidate for as long
as he/she is willing to be trained.
Not necessary to have a university/college degree. A Technical
course diploma in sewing will be an asset.
Need not be a citizen. Can be PR holder, or new comer, refugee
or TFW worker or caregiver whose permit is expiring and needs help.
Production facilities is located at 5294 Imperial St.
Burnaby, BC. and very near Royal Oak Station

Job Description:
· Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food
· Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
· Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
· Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
· Prepare and cook Filipino cuisines or our specialized dishes such as Balbacua and Hinalang
· Plan menus, determine size of food portions
· Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment; Order supplies and equipment
· Oversee or manage kitchen operations
· Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
· Clean kitchen and work areas
· Inspect kitchens and food service areas
· Organize and manage buffets and banquets
Qualification Requirements
· At least Secondary Education with culinary certificate or diploma or at least 2-3 years’work experience required
· Passion for the kitchen and for producing great products every day
· Good oral communication. Must be able to speak and understand English.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
· Must work well within a restaurant team culture
· Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a strong initiative
· A positive and team-oriented attitude
· Must be able to perform efficiently during high volume peak periods
· Must be able to handle physically demanding, heavy loads and repetitive tasks. Standing for extended hours
· Must be client focus, dependable and organized

· Flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays.
