Bamboo Network Fast Track to Employment for Skilled Immigrants

Bamboo Network Skills Connect for Construction

 

Program Description

The program is designed to maximize the economic benefits of immigration through an increased utilization of skilled immigrants to meet existing and emerging labour market shortages in the area of construction.

The program provides comprehensive employment bridging for skilled immigrants to attach to the construction labour market in the Lower Mainland at a level commensurate to his/her experience and qualifications. The services consist of career assessment and planning services, pre-employment skills enhancement services, and workplace orientation and practice services, tailored to the individual's needs.

Criteria for Enrollment

  1. Landed Immigrant residing in Canada 5 years or less
  1. Have a minimum of 5 Years experience in the Construction/Engineering Industry inside or outside of Canada
  1. Able to effectively Communicate in English

Clients are eligible for a $5280.00 Training Subsidy that will help pay for technical training, credential evaluation, certification, and apprenticeship training in the British Columbia Construction Industry. Clients are expected to provide a counterpart equal to a third of the cost or about $2000.
